Deputy Tod Shaw believes his best days are behind him and so does everyone else in the small township of Suddenly. When he discovers a group of assassins are plotting to kill the President, he embarks in a desperate race against the clock to protect his family, restore his own dignity and safeguard the leader of the United States.
